Ms GC Phakedi is the founder and Director of Phakedi Attorneys Incorporated. She is an admitted attorney with a right of appearance in the High Court. She possesses a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and a National Diploma in Language Practice from the
University of South Africa (UNISA). Ms Phakedi completed her articles of clerkship at the Office of the State Attorneys in Johannesburg in March 2015.

She has been in the legal fraternity since 2007, having previously worked for the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development based at Randburg Magistrates Court as a Clerk, and later joining the Labour Court as a Judge’s Associate. She later joined the Department of Justice as a Labour Relations Officer responsible for chairing disciplinary hearings, investigating, prosecuting on behalf of the Employer, handling arbitrations and disputes at the Bargaining Councils and the CCMA.
